Painting and Drawing

Ages appropriate : 12 and older

Class description: This class will address Drawing and Painting issues incorporating art historical perspectives and instructor’s experienced guidance.   Use of any 2D media; including; oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel etc…

Choice of subject, either direct observation of still life or photo as source.

Fee: 120.00 for six 2hr. classes or 20.00 per class

 

Drawing 101

Saturday November 10th

Do you think you can’t draw? Do you want to learn how to draw? This 1 day workshop will teach you about the tools of drawing and the basic techniques to work on improving yourself.

Supplies provided:
Drawing pencils
White eraser
Pencil sharpener
9×12 pad of drawing paper

I am a former art teacher with a lifetime experience in pencil drawing. My drawings have been shown in various galleries in South Jersey and I have won awards for them. Samples are presently on exhibit in the Hammonton Public Library for the month of October.

Drawing 102

Saturday, November 17 th
Time: 1-4pm
Age: 15-adult
Teacher: Robin D’Adamo
Cost $125
This class is for people who want to brush up on their skills or who have taken
Drawing 101 and want to continue their learning. New tools for drawing and
additional techniques will be taught. Some tools will be made to use and keep.
Supplies needed:
Drawing pencils- HB-9B preferred
White and black eraser
Pencil sharpener
12” ruler
9×12 or larger pad of drawing paper

Drawing 103
How to transfer photos onto canvas, board or paper
Saturday, December 1st
Time: 1:30-3pm
Age: 15-adult
Teacher: Robin D’Adamo
Cost $100
This class is for anyone who has always wanted to turn one if their photos into a
drawing or painting but lack the know how to properly transfer it to paper, board
or canvas. Some supplies will be provided. Two techniques will be taught.
Supplies needed:
Two photos printed in black and white
HB or #2 pencil
White or black eraser
Pencil sharpener
Paper, canvas, canvas board or illustration board that you want to transfer your
photo on to. One for each picture.
Ruler large enough to cover length of canvas or paper

High School Art Classes

This class will challenge students to explore styles of drawing and painting in several media. Three dimensional work is part of the curriculum. Art history and the vocabulary of art is incorporated into the lessons. . This is a credited high school art class and follows the NJ Core Curriculum Standards.

Appropriate for ages: grades 9-12

Sessions: 2 days a week during each school semester    Day: Mondays and Thursdays     Time: 2:15- 4:15

Tuition: $450 (Late start will be pro-rated; Installment plan offered)

 

Drawing, Painting and More I – Saturdays

This class is a hands-on exploration of various media incorporating art history with an emphasis on developing creative skills for the younger child.

Appropriate for ages: 6-10

Tuition: $90.    All materials provided

This class is a hands-on in depth exploration of various media incorporating art history with an emphasis on developing creative skills. Art History with an emphasis on developing creative skills.

Zentangle Group

Zentangle is a drawing method that was originated by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. Various tangles, strings, and shading techniques will be explored and applied to Zentangle inspired projects.
