    Create a beautiful work of art burned into wood. You will work on one image for the day. You may bring your own image as long as it's a clear in focus picture

    The cost is $100 for students with supplies or $150 if you need a wood burner kit and other materials. The fee will cover all that is needed and finished product will be yours to keep.

High School Art Classes

Second Semester Classes will begin in February 2018.

This class will challenge students to explore styles of drawing and painting in several media. Three dimensional work is part of the curriculum. Art history and the vocabulary of art is incorporated into the lessons. . This is a credited high school art class and follows the NJ Core Curriculum Standards.

Appropriate for ages: grades 9-12

Annette Rinker has taught art in area public and private schools and has been an instructor at the HAC since 2007 for both adult and children’s classes. She is a NJ certified art teacher K-12. Her enthusiasm for art is contagious!

Sessions: 2 days a week during each school semester    Day: Mondays and Thursdays     Time: 2:15- 4:15

Tuition: $450 (Late start will be pro-rated; Installment plan offered)

 

Drawing, Painting and More I   

This class is a hands-on exploration of various media incorporating art history with an emphasis on developing creative skills for the younger child.

Appropriate for ages: 6-10

Annette Rinker has taught art in area public and private schools and has been an instructor at the HAC since 2007 for both adult and children’s classes. She is a NJ certified art teacher K-12. Her enthusiasm for art is contagious!

Number of Sessions: 6 Saturdays, These classes are ongoing.           Time: 9:30-11:00

Tuition: $90.    All materials provided

This class is a hands-on in depth exploration of various media incorporating art history with an emphasis on developing creative skills. Art History with an emphasis on developing creative skills.

Appropriate for ages: 11 and older

Zentangle Group

Zentangle is a drawing method that was originated by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. Various tangles, strings, and shading techniques will be explored and applied to Zentangle inspired projects.
